Controller
[TO CONFIRM — registered name], [TO CONFIRM — registered address], KvK [TO CONFIRM — KvK number], is the controller of your personal data. Write to info@kleincinema.com with any question or request in this document.
What we hold
- Your email address and password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.
- The name you chose when you signed up. It is shown on reviews you write and on your member page.
- Your date of birth, for one purpose: confirming you are at least 16, the age at which you can agree to an account yourself under Dutch law. It is never shown to anyone, never used to sort or target you, and no page on this site can read it.
- The moment you agreed to these terms, so that we can show what you agreed to and when.
- Your public display name, which starts as the first part of your email and which you can change at any time.
- Your membership status, the identifiers our payment provider gives us, and when your period renews. We never see or store your card details.
- A record of which films you watched in which month, and how far into each one you got. This is what the monthly payment to filmmakers is calculated from.
- Which month you gave your award in, and which film you gave it to.
- Any reviews you write, which are public and carry your display name.
Why we hold it
To give you the service you paid for, which is the performance of our contract with you. To pay filmmakers correctly, which is both that contract and our legitimate interest in running the cinema honestly. To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as for tax.
We do not profile you, we do not advertise to you, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for their own purposes.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
- Cloudflare Stream — video hosting and playback.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Upstash — rate limiting.
Who can see what
Your viewing history is yours. It is not visible to other members, not visible to filmmakers, and not visible on your public page. Filmmakers receive counts, never names.
Which film you awarded is private. Your public page shows only that you gave an award in a given month, never to which film.
Your display name and your reviews are public, because a review is signed.
How long we keep it
Your account data for as long as you have an account. Viewing and award records are kept as part of the payment record and are retained for as long as tax law requires, after which they are deleted or aggregated beyond recognition.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, and ask for it in a portable form. Write to us and we will answer within one month.
You may also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
