Every watching member pays you
We split every membership 50/50 with the filmmakers whose films that member watched. Every view of your film earns, automatically, with no button for anyone to press.
Your film runs for one month, and earns for that month
That month is when the money moves. When the run ends your film stays on Klein Cinema — its page, its credits, the reviews members wrote, anything it won — and it stops earning. We would rather say that plainly than promise you money that never arrives.
We won't pretend it's a salary, and we won't quote you fantasy numbers either. Earnings depend on how many members we have, and we're growing. When you submit, we'll tell you exactly what films are currently earning.
Official Selection
Every curated film wears the mark, permanently, on Klein Cinema and anywhere you care to put it. Its page here keeps it long after the run has ended.
Closing night
Every month ends with a ceremony. The count is public, in members, never money.
The Community Prize
Crowned by the entire membership, not a committee. Decided entirely by member ballots, and it carries a cash award when presented by a sponsor.
Our editors watch every submission, expect to hear back within three weeks. Each monthly selection is built by hand: shorts and filmmaker-held features, chosen for the programme, not the algorithm. If your film isn't right for one month, it may be for another.
