Content policy
What filmmakers warrant, what we will not show, and how to report something.
Last updated 30 August 2026
Rights warranty
When you submit a film you warrant that you own or have cleared every right needed to stream it, including music, archival footage, and any contributions by others. This is the single most common reason a platform gets a film wrong, so we ask for it explicitly at submission and record your answer.
You indemnify us against claims arising from a breach of that warranty. In plain terms: if someone comes after us because a track in your film was not cleared, that is on you, not on us.
Non-exclusive, and yours to withdraw
You keep every right in your film. Showing it here does not stop you showing it anywhere else, and you can take it down at any time by writing to us.
Your film plays for the month of its selection. After that it stays on Klein Cinema as part of the programme — its page, its credits, its reviews and anything it won — but it no longer plays, and it no longer earns. We tell you this here rather than only in the submission form, because it is the single most important thing to understand about what showing a film here does and does not commit you to.
What we will not show
- Anything unlawful, or made through harm to the people in it.
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form, without exception.
- Content whose purpose is to incite hatred or violence against people for who they are.
- Films submitted by someone who does not hold the rights to them.
Reviews
Reviews are text only, one per member per film. There are no ratings at Klein Cinema and there will not be any; the award is the verdict.
Any member can report a review. Reporting flags it for a human — nothing is hidden automatically. A hidden review remains visible to the person who wrote it.
Reporting and takedown
Write to info@kleincinema.com with what you found and where. If you are a rights holder and believe a film here infringes your rights, tell us what the work is and what your claim is, and we will take it down while we look into it.
